TILT AND TURN

Image

Tilt and turn operating windows and doors are standard across most of Europe and Asia. Although not as popular across North America and the Caribbean it has been TILTCO’s initiative during our lifespan to bring awareness and education to consumers and architects about the advantages of this type of system. The demand for energy efficient and impact tested windows and doors for ever-changing building designs fuel the growing demand for tilt and turns. This is why TILTCO’s tilt and turn system is an ideal window design for both performance and healthy environments.

SOLUTIONS
DYNAMIC – Freedom of design, i.e. Ability to manufacture large operable units. Tilt and turns can be integrated with curtain wall, other window types and doors.
MAINTENANCE-FREE – Little cleaning required due to a high gloss finish uPVC. The low porosity of the profile will not allow particulates to collect on frame and sash.
CUSTOMIZATION - Endless colors, wood veneers and hardware finishes available.
VERSATILITY – Multi-functioning operation.
SECURITY – 360 degree multi-point locks. Structurally reinforced frames, sashes and mullions.

FIXED
In the fixed position the window acts as an aesthetically pleasing picture window. The standard multi point locking system which engages around the entire perimeter of the window sash ensures a weatherproof seal in even the harshest environments.

TILT
The tilt position which tilts the top the window sash inward offers owners draft free ventilation that allows warm air to escape where it is found ; at the top. In the tilted operation the limiter arm allows for ventilation with the security of locking points still engaged. The tilt position also ensures during precipitation.

TURN
The benefit of the inward turning position allows for easy and quick cleaning, even on multiple storey buildings. This eliminates the need for external cleaning all together. This function creates easy escape during fire or emergency.

MULTI-POINT LOCKING HARDWARE
One turn of the handle into the lock position engages several roller and mushroom sliders into lock housings (keepers) which guarantee secure locking. This locking action provides equal compression between the window sash and frame. Upon the locking points being engaged, optimal compression is achieved.

Our multi-point locking hardware combines the high luster surface finish of stainless steel with the corrosion resistance of galvanized steel. The coating on our hardware provides greater protection than conventional zinc plating. This allows the hardware to with-stand saltwater spray, mists and high moisture climates such as those found in coastal and humid climates.
