DESCRIPTION

Picture

The 50 mm sight line curtain wall system Tiltco P50 is the ideal addition to the Tiltco window range and corresponds to the architectural requirements enabling generous glazing areas.

As a composite system Tiltco P50 has a wide range of aluminium cover profiles to suit all design purposes. Tiltco windows and doors can easily be integrated into Tiltco P50.

As well as attractive design aspects, the Tiltco curtain wall systems offer outstanding thermal insulation characteristics, which fulfill the requirements for modern, energy-efficient buildings. This curtain wall system is ideal for new build and replacement projects. It can be used as a vertical or inclined curtain wall on single or multi-storey buildings. Straight or faceted solutions can easily be achieved.

SYSTEMS
There are three systems to choose from:

  • Tiltco P50 as standard system

  • Tiltco P50 PHZ for improved thermal performance

  • Tiltco P50 AS for roof glazing

All systems offer a slim sightline of just 50 mm.

Tiltco P50 PHZ is one of the first curtain wall systems the Passive House Institute in Darmstadt/Germany certified as suitable curtain wall system for Zero Energy Houses.

This design enables intelligent applications such as solar systems, integrated cable management and installation of electrical sockets and switches. Creation of a variable office space is achieved by the use of additional attachments to form a partition wall.

CONSTRUCTION

Picture

The design of the Tiltco P50 curtain wall systems uses a combination of PVC, steel and aluminium profiles:

1. Steel reinforcements provide the structural strength to transfer wind, traffic and dead loads safely to the building structure.
2. PVC profiles encase the steel structure and create in combination with gaskets and isolator a highly insulated profile package
3. Aluminium pressure plate and cover profiles form the outside with a wide range of design possibilities (colour and shape)
4. Aluminum cover cap
5. Glazing cavity can accommodate for the use of glazing and panels from 8 to 40 mm thickness
6. Interior gasket for air and water compression
7. A water drainage capability stops water build-up within the curtain wall
